No exercise can change your bone-determined canthal tilt. However, reducing periorbital puffiness and improving skin elasticity can change the apparent tilt by 1-3 degrees — enough to move from slightly negative to neutral. The methods below focus on what is actually achievable.

What determines canthal tilt?

Canthal tilt is the angle between the inner corner (medial canthus) and outer corner (lateral canthus) of the eye relative to horizontal. A positive tilt means the outer corner sits higher. This angle is primarily determined by your orbital bone structure — the shape of the eye socket itself — which is fixed after puberty.

Methods that show measurable results

Methods that do NOT work

Lateral eye pulling/stretching

Pulling the outer corners of the eyes upward does nothing to change the underlying canthus position. The canthal ligaments are firmly attached to the orbital bone. Repeated stretching may actually weaken the skin and worsen apparent tilt over time.

Eye muscle "training" routines

Eye movement exercises (looking up, down, in circles) train the extraocular muscles that move the eyeball — not the muscles or structures that determine canthal tilt. These exercises have zero effect on eye shape or tilt angle.

Bonesmashing near the eyes

Applying pressure or tapping near the orbital bone will not reshape the eye socket. The orbital bones are among the thinnest in the face, making this potentially dangerous. There is zero evidence this changes canthal tilt in any direction.
