Do you save or store my photos?+
Not unless you choose to. On desktop, every face-analysis tool runs in your browser using TensorFlow.js with WebGL acceleration. On mobile, your photo is processed in memory by our scan server and deleted immediately after the landmarks are measured — never written to disk. By default nothing is kept and nothing is used to train any model; a photo is saved only if you choose to save it.
How accurate are these face-AI tests?+
Two different kinds of accuracy apply. Geometric readings (FWHR, canthal tilt, symmetry, facial thirds) are deterministic measurements computed from 68 detected facial landmarks — the same photo returns the same numbers, though lighting and head pose shift landmarks between photos. Those geometry numbers are measurements, not an attractiveness rating.
The one attractiveness claim we validate is the overall Face Score, which was cross-validated against 1,566 human-rated faces (the SCUT-FBP5500 academic benchmark) and correlates with human ratings at roughly r≈0.8. Most face-rating tools publish no validation at all. Treat every other metric as a tape measure, not a verdict.
What is the difference between the free tools and the $14.99 report?+
Free tools give you the score numerically. The $14.99 Looksmax PDF Report adds: every metric your photo supports (typically 15 of the 17) with prose, the personalized 30-day plan (specific exercises and grooming changes ranked by ROI), bilateral comparison images marked with landmarks, and an exportable PDF you can share or revisit. Think of free tools as a quick read; the paid report is the full annotated workbook.
I uploaded a photo and got "no face detected" — what now?+
The detector needs the full face visible at roughly 0–25° tilt with both eyes unobstructed. Try a brighter photo, remove glasses or hats if possible, and shoot at eye level rather than from above or below. Selfies taken at arm's length usually work fine. If multiple faces are in the frame, only the largest face is scored.
Can I compare myself to a celebrity or a friend?+
Yes. The celebrity scores are illustrative geometry estimates, not scans of their photos, so a comparison is a rough one: your report lists every metric your photo supports, and each celebrity profile lists its estimates metric by metric.
For friends, Mog Your Friends takes one group photo and ranks every face in it by Face Score. To pick which of your own selfies to use on a dating app, the Photo Ranker takes 2–6 of your photos and ranks them objectively.
Will this work on a phone, or do I need a laptop?+
Every tool works on any modern phone (iOS 14+, Android 10+) or desktop browser. On desktop the analysis model (~5 MB) downloads once and caches, so repeat scans are instant; on mobile the scan runs on our server in memory, so nothing heavy downloads to your phone.
On a phone a scan usually takes under 10 seconds from picking the photo to seeing the result; on a laptop the first scan also waits for that one-time model download. You do not need to install an app.
Privacy and security
On desktop, every face analysis tool on this page processes your photos inside your web browser using TensorFlow.js with WebGL acceleration, and the AI model weights are downloaded once and cached locally.
On mobile, your photo is processed in memory by our scan server and deleted immediately after the facial landmarks are measured. Either way, by default your images are not stored, not used for training, and not seen by another person. A photo is kept only if you choose to save it to your account or submit it to the community rating pool.
There are no accounts required, no cookies tracking your face data, and no analytics on the images you test. On desktop, your photo data is garbage-collected by the browser when you close the tab; on mobile, it is discarded from memory the moment the landmarks are extracted. Unless you choose to save a photo, nothing is retained, so we cannot recover it even if we wanted to.
