LooksMax AI is an iPhone and Android app from Mnkybrain Labs that rates your looks out of 10 and follows the rating with personalized advice. It is free to download, with in-app purchases from $0.99 to $5.99 on the US App Store. This review covers what it rates, what it costs, how it handles your photos and who it suits. Every LooksMax AI detail comes from its own website (looksmax.ai) and its App Store and Google Play listings, read on October 5, 2026; where those pages say nothing, we say so. Quick verdict
The good: Free to download and widely used: more than 10 million downloads on Google Play, 4.5 from about 43,000 App Store ratings and 4.0 from about 1.2 million Google Play reviews. Its website says the rating covers hair and skin as well as your face, and tips follow the rating.
Worth knowing: The App Store lists seven in-app purchases but does not say which results are free or which purchases renew. Uploaded face data is kept for 30 days under its privacy policy. No page explains how the rating is calculated.

What LooksMax AI actually does
LooksMax AI's store listings give three steps: upload your photos, the app analyzes your traits, and you get your results and personalized advice. Its website fills in the rating: the app looks at "your masculinity, jawline, eyes, hair, skin, and other features" and rates you out of 10, and you can compare your rating with friends. The listing calls the app "your personalized AI coach" and says its focus is "aiding men in elevating their facial attractiveness and confidence".
It is a phone app, not a website: the App Store lists it for iPhone and Google Play lists it for Android, and looksmax.ai itself is a landing page plus a blog on haircuts, grooming, skin care and mewing. Its marketing uses looksmaxxing slang: 65 of its 72 web pages carry the heading "Become A Chad and Become More Attractive With LooksMax AI", and one in-app purchase is called the "Chad Pack". The result its pages describe is the rating out of 10; they mention no tier labels.

That is the US App Store's in-app purchase list, checked October 5, 2026. The listing does not say which items renew, how long each lasts or which results need one, and the website lists no prices. If you do buy a subscription through the App Store or Google Play, deleting the app does not cancel it: cancel it in your store's subscription settings.
How LooksMax AI handles your photos
Its privacy policy says face data comes from the photos you upload, is analyzed by "proprietary algorithms", is kept for 30 days and then automatically deleted from its servers, and is not shared, sold or disclosed to third parties unless required by law. It also collects basic details such as age, gender and location to tailor its recommendations. You can delete face data in the app's settings or through support; deleting the whole account is by email and is completed within 90 days.
RealSmile works differently: on desktop the analysis runs in your browser, and on mobile the photo is processed in memory by our scan server and deleted right away. By default nothing is kept and nothing is used to train anything; you can choose to save a scan photo to your account.

Hair and skin, not only your face
Its website says the rating looks at your hair and skin as well as your jawline, eyes and masculinity. RealSmile's 17 metrics are face-geometry measurements, and none of them rates hair or skin.
A large user base
Google Play shows more than 10 million downloads and a 4.0 rating from about 1.2 million reviews; the App Store shows 4.5 from about 43,000 ratings.

The listings promise personalized advice with your results, the website adds a library of guides on haircuts, grooming, skin care and mewing, and a Hairstyles Pack is sold in the app.

LooksMax AI fits if you want an app on your phone rather than a website, a single rating out of 10 you can compare with friends, and tips that cover hair and skin as well as your face. It is free to download, and its in-app purchases are listed from $0.99 to $5.99.
Skip it when you want a written audit of your dating photos. Its pages describe a rating of you, not a ranking of your photos: no lead-photo pick and no list of photos to delete. If you have 10 photos on your phone and want them ranked with reasons, a photo audit does that job; RealSmile's is a one-time $19.99.
