If you are comparing these two, the decision is simpler than most software comparisons, because the products are not priced the same way at all. FaceIQ Labs is a monthly subscription. RealSmile is a single payment. Almost everything else follows from that difference.
We are RealSmile, so read this knowing who wrote it. What we have done to keep it useful is source every claim about FaceIQ to their own published Terms of Service rather than to our impressions of them, and state plainly the things they do better than us. Where we could not verify something, we say so instead of guessing.
The prices, from their own terms
FaceIQ Labs does not publish prices on a pricing page — their /pricing URL redirects to a login. The numbers are written into their Terms of Service: a Basic plan at $24.99 per month and a Pro plan at $49.99 per month. Billing runs monthly, quarterly or yearly; quarterly and yearly are charged upfront as one payment, and the yearly plan auto-renews. We could not verify the exact quarterly and yearly totals because they sit behind a login.
RealSmile's full 17-metric report is $14.99, paid once. There is no subscription attached to it and nothing renews. Over a year, the comparison looks like this:

The free trial is the part most people get wrong
This is the detail worth knowing before you sign up for anything. FaceIQ Labs' Terms of Service state that free trials are not generally available to all users, and are available exclusively as a reward for partners who successfully refer a paying customer — with, in their words, no other way to obtain one. A trial requires a card on file and converts automatically.
In practice that means a cold visitor cannot try the paid product. You create an account, and past the free side-profile scan the next step is $24.99 a month. That is a legitimate way to run a business, but it is worth knowing before you arrive expecting the usual seven-day trial.
RealSmile has no trial either, for a different reason: there is nothing to trial. Your Face Score and your strongest metric are free with no card and no account, and the $14.99 unlocks the remaining metrics. You see a real result from your own photo before deciding whether the rest is worth paying for.
What FaceIQ Labs does better
Two things, and neither is a small point.
They own their audience. FaceIQ started as a YouTube channel in 2020 and has built roughly 206,000 subscribers, plus a paid community on Skool that predates the app. Most people who arrive at their checkout already know who they are and have watched them analyse faces for months. That is a genuine asset, it took years to build, and no comparison table erases it. It also means their reviews and testimonials come from a warmer audience than a cold search visitor — worth factoring in when you read them.
Their product is built for repeat use. FaceIQ is designed around re-analysing over time and watching your scores move on a weekly cadence. If what you want is a tracking habit rather than an assessment, that design is a real match for the goal, and a subscription is the honest business model for it. We offer progress tracking too, but they built the whole product around it and we did not.
Where RealSmile is the better fit
If you want to know where you stand, once, and then get on with it, a subscription is the wrong shape of purchase. That is the case RealSmile is built for: 17 metrics measured from 68 facial landmarks, a percentile against a real distribution rather than a made-up score out of ten, and the specific things that would move your numbers. One payment, nothing to cancel.
It is also the better fit if you are price-sensitive and unsure. $14.99 once is a different kind of decision from $24.99 every month, and you can see your Face Score free before you spend anything. If it turns out you want the tracking habit instead, you will not have lost much finding out.
Which one to pick
Pick FaceIQ Labs if you already follow their channel, you want a weekly tracking routine, and a recurring charge for it does not bother you.
Pick RealSmile if you want a one-time answer at a one-time price, you would rather see a real result before paying, or you do not want another subscription on your card.
Pick neither yet if you have not run any free scan at all. Both products give you something without paying. Start there and see whether the output is the kind of thing you would act on before you spend anything with anyone.
